Started in the fall of 2018 by sophomores Tiffanie Huang and Khushi Parikh, the Music Outreach Community Association (MOCA) aims to empower young performers in grades 8-12 with opportunities to give back to the community in the form of music. Both a universal and unique language, music is an essential part of life - one that should be shared with as many as possible. MOCA strives to create that moment of connection by bringing high school musicians, either as chamber groups or solo performers, to healthcare centers throughout the Bay Area to share their talents, express themselves, and build a community with the elderly residents at these centers.
